Pokémon Insurgence - Mew Game Plus (Teil 1)

Unsere Reise beginnt zuerst mit diversen Einstellungen, sowohl gewohnten als auch etwas unüblicheren. Neben den bereits angesprochenen Herausforderungen kann man sich hier beispielsweise für einen "düsteren" oder für einen "traditionellen" Storymodus entscheiden, welche sich in vielerlei Hinsicht unterscheiden. Da die düstere Story jedoch oft als die beliebtere, ja sogar bessere genannt wird, werde ich mich in diesem Blog an dieser versuchen.

Sobald man sich für einen Modus entschieden hat, entführt eine Gruppe von Pelippern, die über einige Städte gleiten, den Spieler in die Torren-Region, wo eine Videosequenz beginnt. Diese zeigt, wie vor einem Jahr ein Mann eine bedeutsame Rede hielt.

Mann: Thank you all for coming. We live in dark times, my friends. A grave loss has recently befallen us all. The Augur was a great man. Not only was he an unmatched trainer, but his heart burned with the desire to protect his people. He was our hero... and possibly the best leader the Torren Region has ever know. But... As you know, where other regions have evil Teams or organizations, it's Pokémon- worshipping cults that call the Torren Region home. But to these cults, religion is so much more than believing. They won't rest until the world is remade exactly how they want it to be. For our protection, the Augur defeated and disbanded over half of them. He saved us. A week ago, he went searching for the remaining cults... ... ... ... ...he has not returned. He hasn't been seen since. People of Torren! I, like you, do not believe our Augur is dead. I assure you, I will search tirelessly until he is found again. With a heavy heart, I accept the burden of taking his place until he is found. Until the first Augur returns, I shall be the Second. I promise you, I will use every ressource at my disposal to find him! We will stand our ground! We will not let these cultists... these insurgents... split apart our families and destroy the place we call home! Long live the Torren Region!

Menge: Long live the Torren Region!

Mann: We will remain strong!

Nach diesem kleinen Prolog darf man sich unter anderem seinen Namen, sein Geschlecht und sein Aussehen aussuchen, bevor man sich, von einem Gengar bedroht, an einem unbekannten, von Kapuzen tragenden Menschen bewohnten Ort wiederfindet.

?: Soon, Dream Eater will rid the prisoner of the last of his memories. Hopefully, we'll be done within the hour.

??, den Raum betretend: Well? How is our youngest Prisoner faring?

???: According to the computer, Miss Persephone, their memories should be completely gone very soon. Everything is going as planned.

Persephone: Excellent. Finally, we will have fulfilled our end of the bargain. Good work, you two. We are starting the ritual soon in the upstairs room. Will you be attending?

???: Of course, Miss. I would never miss a sacrifice.

Persephone: Very well. I'll see you upstairs, then.
???: Miss, wait, I have a question. After the child's memories are gone, what do you plan to do with them?

Persephone: Kill them, of course. I expect you upstairs within two minutes.
?: Why are we othering to wipe their memories if we're just going to kill them anyways?

???: No clue, but thanks for not asking in front of her. You know how she hates to be questioned.

?: Let's go upstairs, then. It's always fun to see a ritual being performed.

Just in dem Moment, an dem uns eine rosige Zukunft als rituelle Opfergabe bevorsteht, werden wir glücklicherweise von einem Mew gerettet!

Gänzlich wider Erwarten in einer Randomlocke ist dieses Mew jedoch tatsächlich ein Mew, welches uns auf Level 65 auch gute Dienste leisten wird. Zunächst sollten wir jedoch schleunigst aus der Geheimbasis des "Darkrai-Kultes", wie diverse Menüs diesen Ort bezeichnen, verschwinden. Auf dem Weg in die Freiheit stellt sich jedoch heraus, dass sich Mew nicht zufällig zu uns gesellte, sondern aufgrund der Attacke "Wandler" zu uns geschickt wurde, welche es im Gegensatz zu Ditto sogar auf den Spieler selbst anwenden kann - ein Segen, wenn man in Betracht zieht, dass sämtliche Türen in diesem Gebäude mit einem Fingerscanner gesichert wurden. Prompt nach dieser Enthüllung finden wir auch das getrocknete Blut eines Kultmitglieds vor, was uns erlaubt, unsere Flucht vortzusetzen.

Doch halt, was ist das? Anstatt in die ersehnte Freiheit stolpern wir geradewegs in eine Opferzeremonie!

Opfer: Miss! Please, you can't do this! I don't want to die!

Persephone: You swore when you joined that you would give your life for us. How is this any different? Activate the ritual circle! Darkrai, lord of darkness! I call upon you to enter our world! In return, I offer you the soul of this loyal servant, to be bound to your world of nightmares forever! Vocum virtura umbra dominum!

Persephone: You are the great balancer of the world. You punish the great and slay the immortal. It has been a year since I saw you last. You remember what occured then? We accomplished something incredible that day. I thought finally, you had accepted our offer to join us. But you fled soon after, never to be seen again. But now I call upon you again... Darkrai, why will you not join me? I know my sister has seen you time and time again... Why do you favor her over me? I beseech you, Darkrai, join me. Join the cult that has worshipped you for so long. With my guidance, and your power, we could rule the entire world!

Darkrai: ... ... ... (Verschwindet)

Persephone: It's probably gone off to Selene City to see my sister again... What a waste of a grunt...

(Am Boden der Treppe und somit bei ihren Untergebenen ankommend) And what do you two want, exactly?

????: we could trap Darkrai here! We don't know why it didn't work this time, but if you'll just give us another chance...

Persephone: Get out of my way. (Zu ihrem soeben herbeigerufenen Hunduster) Fire Blast!

Nach diesem Event ist es endlich möglich, den Unterschlupf zu verlassen. Und damit wäre der erste Abschnitt des Spiels geschafft! Beim nächsten mal treffen wir hoffentlich endlich auf unseren Starter und können die TM-less!HM-less!AP-Limited!Random!Solo!Mystery!Bravery!Locke warhaftig starten!
